'FANS OF FLANDERS' is an amusing Belgian television show aimed primarily at English-speaking ex-pats and last week they followed British and European champion Helen Wyman in training and at the Trofee race in Ronse (main photo).
Helen arrived in Belgium just over a week ago after racing in America. She scored three race wins in the States and then last weekend won the GP Brabant and finished second in the first round of the bpost Bank Trofee in Ronse. On Sunday (October 19th) she'll race in the first round of the World Cup in Valkenburg.
The show went out this week on OP12 (and will be show on the Een and Canvas channels this weekend), but Helen's feature is here (below) for those not able to catch it in Belgium.
Cyclocrossrider editor Konrad Manning also writes for the TV show's website and his latest post (about cyclocross) is here.
His article prompted a Telenet-Fidea team staff member to thank Konrad by saying, "Thank you for explaining cyclocross to ex-pats in Belgium! My town has many ex-pats and people from the European Commission. Now they can finally understand why there is a bright, yellow and blue (team) car parked in their street!
