CYCLOCROSSRIDER founder Konrad Manning has been keeping himself busy during the Coronavirus lockdown by repairing his Sheffield neighbours' bikes so that they can exercise or commute to work.
"There have obviously been lots of people exercising on bikes during the lockdown, but when the Government started asking people to go back to work - by walking or cycling - I thought that there were ways to help people if I could," said Konrad, "either by checking over their bikes or advising them on the best routes in our hilly city."
"We have no bike shops in this part of Sheffield, so I printed just 28 leaflets, delivered them on one neighbouring street and within 24 hours I had five bikes to fix up." he added.
Using 100% biodegradable products from UK brands, Konrad has charged a basic price to cover his costs in cleaning materials.
