RACERS arriving for the first big American 'cross race of 2015 - The Resolution Cup - near Dallas, Texas might have been expecting dry and dusty conditions, but instead they were greeted by mud and a very challenging course. It was the first time that a UCI-ranked event had been held in the state of Texas and came a week ahead of the National Championships being hosted in 'nearby' Austin - 200 miles away.
The elite women's fields in Garland contained several contenders for National championship medals such as Meredith Miller (the winner back in CrossVegas), Crystal Anthony and Mo Bruno Roy as well as Under-23 prospect Ellen Noble.
Similarly the elite men's races attracted some big names including two-time US champion Ryan Trebon, Jamey Driscoll, Justin Lindine and the mercurial talent of Zach McDonald.
