World champion Wout Van Aert will start as the favourite to defend his UCI World Cup crown as the series gets under way with CrossVegas in the Nevada desert. Van Aert began the Belgian cyclocross season with a victory over a fast course based around the Muur van Geraardsbergen and won on Sunday in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
