THE first four rounds of the 33rd Superprestige series have produced four different winners and so the competition for the season-long award is still wide open as we move into the second half of the famous series. The top five riders are all closely packed: Overall standings (after 4 rounds): 1 Nys 52 points; 2 Van der Poel 50; 3= Vantornout & Van der Haar 49; 5 Pauwels 48.

Today’s action will be over a brand new course - including a huge run-up - previewed superbly above by Sven Nys' son Thibau. 

Belgian champion Nys has a slender lead, and looked slightly out of sorts yesterday in Koksijde, so who can stop him motoring towards his fourteenth Superprestige title?
